Spring is in the hair.

I was attempting to mend a lawnmower today. The inside of the switch is very interesting. It has tiny springs which when pressed down mean the connectors can make a circuit and start the machine. When I removed the cover to examine the workings, two of the springs leapt out of the casing. I didn't hear them drop, so I did what everyone does when you drop a minuscule item on the floor. I laid down with my cheek to the tiles and looked along the floor for the springs. I discovered two old peas under the fridge and the inside of a pen I had been using to poke eyes in fish. The springs were nowhere to be seen. I was somewhat baffled. I checked the work surface and the sink to no avail. I began to wonder whether I had imagined the springs. Eventually I decided to bypass the switch and just use some ordinary terminal block connectors to check the motor. As I was screwing the connectors down, I brushed away my hair which had fallen across my face. That's when I found one of the springs. I felt in my hair again and found the second spring. When the clocks go forward we all know spring is in the air but today I discovered that spring was in the hair.

Jesus told a story about a woman who lost something and searched all over the floor until she found it. He was explaining how glad God is when people who feel lost are found again. If you feel a bit lost, can I assure you that God doesn't think you've disappeared. He knows exactly where you are and he wants to put you back where you belong so you can be switched on and powerful.
