Pudsey Bear

This week Pudsey bear visited our school for the Children in Need appeal. I was watching him waddle slowly down the corridor and thinking there seemed something odd about his costume. On closer examination I discovered that Pudsey had only one leg. The costume's inhabitant had  speedily donned the costume which zipped up along the inside leg. In his haste he had zipped the front leg zip to the front leg zip and the back leg zip to the back leg zip, rather than zipping the front and back of each leg together to form two legs. This resulted in him having just one large leg. Nobody seemed to notice as they hugged Pudsey and had photos taken with him to raise money for children in need. Whilst I doubt the veracity of the article, I read today that all Pudsey bears have been fitted with electric shock boxes in order to dissuade people from hugging strangers concealed in costumes. The article went on to say that a child who had spilled Fanta on his hand and then hugged the shocking bear had melted his hair and been thrown across the playing field like a shot putt because the fizzy pop had amplified the current. I do hope Pudsey bear raises a good deal of money for children in need this week and that most of it reaches them.
